It’s Time to Expose Florida’s Anti-Abortion Fake Clinics!

Whichever clinic you choose, please make sure it is not a fake clinic. There are four times as many fake, anti-abortion, anti-birth control fake clinics than comprehensive reproductive healthcare providers.
With nearly 200 fake women’s health centers in Florida, anti-abortion extremists have a hold on every community. Sometimes called “Crisis Pregnancy Centers”, or CPCs, FAKE CLINICS do NOT provide comprehensive reproductive healthcare – or much of any healthcare at all.
“Crisis pregnancy centers are organizations that seek to intercept women with unintended pregnancies who might be considering abortion. They strive to give the impression that they are clinical centers, offering legitimate medical services and advice, yet they are exempt from regulatory, licensure, and credentialing oversight that apply to health care facilities. Although crisis pregnancy centers enjoy First Amendment rights protections, their propagation of misinformation should be regarded as an ethical violation that undermines women’s health.” — American Medical Association Journal of Ethics
They also like to call themselves “Pregnancy Help Clinics” or even “Pregnancy Medical Clinics,” but they’re not medical clinics at all, and they don’t help patients. They use inappropriate tactics to dissuade patients from using contraceptives and seeking abortion care. #ExposeFakeClinics 👀

There are about a dozen fake clinics in Broward County, and over 40 in South Florida. They actually outnumber real abortion providers! They often lie to patients to scare them, telling them abortion leads to future infertility and breast cancer, which is false, or that condoms are not effective.
